Terms of use

These terms apply to the Pergamed mobile apps, including Sutura – Plastic Surgery (“the app”), and to this website. By using the app you agree to them. If you download the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies.

1. Who the app is for

The app is intended for physicians, residents and other adults in medical training. You must be at least 18 years old to use it.

2. Educational use only

The app is a study tool. Its content, questions and calculators are provided for education and do not constitute medical advice. They must not be used on their own to diagnose, treat or decide doses for any patient. Clinical decisions remain your responsibility and should follow current guidelines, primary sources and your supervisors.

Content is prepared with AI assistance under physician supervision and is checked for accuracy, but medicine changes and errors are possible. We make no guarantee that the content is complete, current or free of error. Please report mistakes to support@pergamed.com.

3. Accounts

Some features need an account. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think your account has been misused. You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen.

4. Subscriptions and payments

• Paid plans (Pro and Platinum) are sold as in-app subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play. The price and billing period are shown before you confirm.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
• Features included in each plan may change over time. We will not remove the core features of a plan during a period you have already paid for.

5. Your logbook and your content

Logbook records are stored on your device and in your device's own iCloud or Google backup; on-call shifts, quiz progress and your exam plan are backed up to your account. You are responsible for what you enter. Do not record patient names, record numbers or any information that could identify a patient.

6. Acceptable use

Do not copy, resell, redistribute or publicly share the app's content; attempt to extract its question bank or content in bulk; reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it; or use the app in a way that breaks the law or interferes with its operation.

If you join the weekly league, choose a nickname that is not offensive, misleading or someone else's name, and do not try to manipulate the standings. We may change an unsuitable nickname or remove points that were not earned fairly.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its text, questions, diagrams, design and the names Pergamed and Sutura belong to us or our licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own study. Third-party sources cited in the app remain the property of their owners.

8. Third-party services

Some features use outside services, such as PubMed and Crossref for journal listings and public congress websites for dates. We are not responsible for their content or availability. Congress dates may change; confirm them on the official congress website.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app available and accurate but cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may update, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the app, we will give reasonable notice where possible.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made on the basis of its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

11. Ending use

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously breached.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims there.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
